My MTG is a Merit.

what grade do you think your final productions are at the moment?

I think my production is at merit level, this is because we have a good standard of product however there is also slight improvements that could be made, also we have fulfilled all the pass criteria.

what do you need to achieve the next grade?

we need to re-film some parts of our trailer, for example the introduction needs re-filing to be more realistic and convincing.

what are my targets for todays lesson?

in todays lesson i will add in sounds effects to the trailer, for example, door squeaking and footsteps.
i will review my trailer and see wether or not any clips need removing or replacing.

We have created a 30 second long offline edit to show what our trailer would look like without effects. A strength for this trailer is that it is non-linear and doesn't give anything away to the audience. Another strength is some of the shots, as they look handheld and give that effect that we are trying to achieve. An improvement for this trailer is that some of the scenes don't look very professional, so we can add effects to make them look better. Another improvement is that we should pick up the pace of the trailer, as it seems a bit slow. We are going to be adding glitches, green colour effects, grain effects, fades, and changing brightness levels to some of the clips. To make it seem like it was a documentary, and fits into the horror genre because the scenes would look scarier.
